How does gas price compare to your area?

Everytime I see a heat map like this, I have to question the price of fuel on the west coast. Does it really cost that much more to deliver gas to the west coast? Does running a business cost that much more in CA? What justifies the price? Supply and Demand? Maybe. You would think it costs more to get fuel pumped to the middle of the US than the coast. Just a quick rant and wanted to show that heat map.
